Disciplines / Striking

Striking. Learn to read the distance.

In striking, stance, footwork and timing determine which techniques are within reach. Boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai share that foundation while raising different questions. MMA appears here in the navigation and also connects wrestling and ground work.

Compare the disciplines

The number of techniques tells only part of the story. Your stance, distance and response also change with the other person's options.

What changes when more options are available?

Boxing

Boxing limits attacks to punches. That lets you explore footwork, defense, timing and combinations in precise detail.

Kickboxing / K-1

Kickboxing connects punches and kicks, with knees within the agreed rules. Your stance needs to keep both hands and legs available.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai adds its own rhythm, clinch work and a broader range of techniques. Balance and control matter as the distance closes.

MMA

MMA covers the whole exchange: striking, takedowns, grappling and ground work. The question includes how you move between phases, as well as what you do within each one.

Which question interests you?

Do you want to refine your boxing, connect hands and legs, explore the clinch or combine all ranges? You do not need a final answer yet. Your experience and technical interests help define a first focus. A workshop can offer an introduction; private coaching gives room to an individual question.
